Hello,
When we perform volume level backups, the snapshots are excluded. Backing up snapshots is not recommended.
But if you want to backup snapshots, you need to provide the specific path of the snapshot.
Thanks

Thanks Sandeep, why are backing up the snapshots not recommended ? Doesnt Avamar backup a snapshot as part of the NDMP backup process anyway ?
I'd also like to know if the excludes setting is somewhere in an xml config file or if I can add a flag on the backup to include the snapshots...

No, Avamar doesn't backup a snapshot as part of NDMP backup, its not recommended since the snapshots are readonly and the only way to recover the data will be redirected.
The snapshots are excluded by default and not specified in any file.
