NTFS junction points

Hi!

I've got severael Windows servers that throw exceptions during backup when Avamar 6.1 encounters a junction point whose target doesn't exist.  For example, the "C:\Users\ \Application Data" junction point that targets "C:\Users\ \AppData\Local".  If the target directory does not exist, Avamar throws:

2012-11-28 19:04:21 avtar Error <0000>: Path "c:\Users\

\Application Data" not found. Verify that path exists on the system
  (Log #2)

Does anyone have recommendations for mitigating this issue so that the job won't show up as "Completed w/Exceptions"? Thank you in advance!

The recommendation from the developers is to remove any broken links. The client reports this as an error because it could indicate that data intended to be backed up by the dataset is not being backed up correctly.
