Recommended way to automate server provisioning?

I see a number of ways to get and set information from our Dell servers including such tools as  wsman, recite (a wsman client), racadm, Redfish and using the iDRAC directly.

Our problem is, we're trying to standardize our server setups using automation tools in a repeatable and auditable way. We would like to use a technology solution that is actively supported. Because there are so many different methods each with their own documentation (some documented several years ago and not touched since), we would like to use the most recent and actively supported method for configuration management.What is the current recommended method best designed for automating BIOS settings, installing firmware and setting up iDRAC / system settings?
