Hi everyone,

I’m looking into getting a Dell XPS and would really appreciate some real-world advice from current or long-term XPS users.

I’m looking for a laptop with a 15-inch or larger screen that is still relatively slim and easy to carry. My main priorities are fast performance, excellent battery life, and long-term reliability.

I’ll mainly be using it for productivity and creative/AI-related work, including Claude, Antigravity, Cursor, Canva, browser-based tools, and multitasking. I don’t necessarily need a gaming laptop or an extremely powerful workstation, but I do want something that feels fast and responsive when running several applications and browser tabs.

Battery reliability is particularly important to me. I’d like to avoid models that are known for significant battery drain, poor standby performance, charging problems, or unusually fast battery degradation.

For current XPS owners:

Which 15"+ XPS model has given you the best overall experience?
How is the real-world battery life during normal work?
How has the battery health held up after 1–3 years?
Do you experience noticeable battery drain while sleeping/standby?
Is the laptop comfortable to carry despite having a larger screen?
How well does it handle AI tools such as Claude, Antigravity and Cursor alongside Canva and normal multitasking?
Are there any particular XPS models or configurations you would avoid because of battery or reliability issues?

I’m especially interested in long-term owner experiences, rather than just the advertised specifications.

Thanks in advance!
