A simple question on running Navisphere Analyzer ....

We have started data logging for 7 days and it is the first time we use it.

When we go to Tools --> Analyzer --> Customize --> Warnings Tab, we observe that the checkbox "Statistics Logging Enabled" is checked.

We would like to know
1) What is the purpose of this checkbox ?
2) What will be the consequence if we unselect it now ?

Thanks

Statistics Logging is one of the dependencies of Analyzer. If you don't have it checked you will be unable to collect performance data for historical analysis. If you aren't using Analyzer then leave it unchecked as the logging of performance metrics does use processing resources on the storage processors.

Tony,

Its unchecked in my environment :-)

1) What is the purpose of this checkbox ?
Statistics Logging Enabled checkbox - (applies to only Analyzer) lets you turn on performance logging.

If you click "help" on that page it gives you the above information. ;-)

If you unselect it, you will not get a warning message when the performance logging will be disabled.

Note that if you want to disable or enable performance logging, right clic on your box -> Anayzer -> Data Logging.
