AX150i APC UPS Runtime...
Hi All,
Have a AX150i with the supplied APC Smart-UPS 750 UPS. All works fine. The AX150i has all bar two drive bays fitted with 500GB drives.
I am configuring the automated shutdown of the few servers that are connected to the array. They are connected to a series of SmartUPS 3000 XLMs, with added battery packs which means each have around 2hrs of runtime available.
Now I don't expect the AX150 and SmartUPS750 to last anywhere near that amount of time, however I can't seem to find any documentation or similar which will give me an indication of how long, or in what way the array powers itself down. I presume, it waits until xminutes or x% of the battery is left, but have no idea what the x equals. I have sifted through the Navisphere Manager (v6 and not the AX150's standard interface), but although can find the UPS, it doesn't have any interesting information attached.
So, has anyone any ideas as to how I can find out roughly what the estimated runtime for the AX150 actually is, as I'll need to setup my servers accordingly, so that they power down before the array pulls the underlying LUNs, possibly resulting in data corruption.
TIA
Dan
