Sounds like you are looking for ppremove - its most likely available for download on powerlink.

Otherwise you might find something on google.

Hello Adin,

You probably already have this, but just in case ... in the Installation Guide there is a section  on uninstalling Powerpath, dependent on which OS you have. Installation Guides are available on powerlink at

http://powerlink.emc.com/km/appmanager/km/secureDesktop?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=servicesDocLibPg&internalId=0b0140668035438e&_irrt=true

Hope this helps.

All,

Let me preface by saying that I am implying that the adin had issues with a failed or incomplete uninstall of PowerPath and obviously it is for Windows as the registry is mentioned.

Firstly, the PowerPath uninstall tool that was linked to above by dynamox, was for a specific issue related to PowerPath for release 5.1 SP2 and 5.2 build 144.  Specifically the issue was as documented in the following Technical Bulletin:

emc194413: "PowerPath: Uninstalling PowerPath 5.1 SP2 or 5.2 (build 144) removes registry locations for other EMC software"

As for the PPREMOVE(ALL) utility as mentioned above, review the following Primus article before considering; more importantly the content in Red and remember it is always as a last resort:

emc90664: "How and when to clean previous installations of PowerPath using the ppremoveall/ppuninstall tool"

Some highlights:

1) Before v5.3, it was a separate utility
2) In v5.3, it is bundled with the installer and initiated by passing PPREMOVE=ALL at the CLI
3) Introduced in v5.5, there is now a pre-upgrade check and one of the things it will look for is an incomplete installation of PowerPath and prompt the user to initiate it (as you'll read, it is not suggested to run it before the upgrade)

Or adin, were you just looking for an alternative to the GUI uninstall at which point the documents linked to by Nollaig would provide all the available parameters.

"PowerPath and PowerPath/VE for Windows Installation and Administration Guide"

Specifically skip to the section:

"Uninstalling with the PowerPath command line"
