CX3-40 resetting and login issues

We have a CX3-40 with several 4PDAE disk drawers.

I know the IP addresses of SPA/SPB. I can ping them.

Using Navisphere Secure CLI I have set the user security, -scope 0 -password admin -user admin, and it seems to take these instructions.

I also have set the security certificate to LOW.

I open Navisphere on the service laptop, but do not have the user and password.

I have tried to setup the PPP to SPA using the serial to mini-DB9 cable.

Still unable to login and get an error 691.

I am trying to get into the arrays to break the LUNs and format the drives, to clear off all old data.

The FLARE drives are still intact.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What browser and Java version are you using?

Navisphere and Unisphere can be pretty picky about versions, and you are trying to get into a pretty old unit.

As an alternative, you could try Unisphere Service Manager as a way in.

Using the serial port does not require a user/password once you get in over PPP connection.

Try using Java 1.6.30 on your laptop. Do you have the instructions for connecting the serial port? If not, there's some posts in the forum with the instructions.

I am using IE 7.0.6000.16982

Java version 6.0.330.3

I will look at getting the Unisphere Service Manager also

Thanks

I have tried the PPP connection with the serial cable.

I used user=clarion password=clarion! and it fails every time.

I just tried with no user or password and get - ERROR 647 - account is disabled

As far as I can remember (it's been a while since I actually logged into a CX3 using the serial port) when you start up Navisphere it did not ask for a username/password.
