CX700 new install
Hi,
I'm new to Clariion and bought CX700 with 2 x DAE2 from ebay to learn. It does not have any Flare OS. I have 5 x 146 FC HDD in one DAE and 15 x 146 in 2nd DAE.
I need to install the Flare release 26 on Ist DAE, I already have Flare code
I Have a Windows server 2003 with powerpath connected to CX. i need a procedure how to install flare first time when there is no OS on the HDD.
You appreciate everone hlep who answer the question

FLARE is a property of EMC and is loaded in a factory with a special procedure and software not available in the field .
The package you have is just a part of the entire flare environment , we use special hidden partition on the first 5 drive for different purpose and this can't be created in the field from scratch .
We have procedure in the field to rebuild this space if they got corrupted but in this case clariion itself already contain a good copy in a particular area where it can be use for reimaging the sp .

I appreciate you help,
URL are helpfull but does not answer my question.
I need a procedure to load flare code on blank disk and I don;t have money to log a EMC service call.
Just need procedure, i already have flare release 26

If EMC engineer can do whay can not I do. I know how to connect host and etc but can not find a procedure how to load flare first time on blank disks.
if someone have done this pl let me know.
any help will be appreciated.

because there have utility partitions for recovery flare OS..
you have to help some one who has flare image within some disks(al least 1 or more disks)..
you do better contact EMC or Service-VAR..

Good luck getting a storage array bought off of eBay working
If you bought a non-operational CLARiiON off eBay then you really have no choice but to get EMC to get it working again. Unless you can find someone selling Cx700 vault drives as well.
