are there any soft scsi or background verify errors in the log?

try to go through recent error messages in the event log. does it show any events which say 'SCSI error'?

That could be just about anything fracturing the mirror. Look at the error right before the fracture happens and post that here. Whatever the preceeding error is probably the issue. The mirror fracturing iteself is normal.

I suspect a disk failure or backend issue is causing this issue...you can ask emc to run their FBI tool that collects backend data. then emc can decide where the issue lies
