there are only 2 papers. None are helpful to my purpose. in this 2 paper there is nothing mention about the initialization/configuration of ax4-5fx array. If you can point out me any other document in this forum it will be helpful.

I have some document from powelink site but not from AX support Site (http://www.emc.com/microsites/clariion-support/ax45-install.htm). Can u point out me the document number there.

As my requirement is 1st cabling (we have 1 SPS (single SP),1DPE,1DAE) FC connection. after that how can we initialize through serial management port....how is the connection established from my workstation that i can set the user name password IP. After that how can we login to EMC array through we browser to config the LUN to share it in the SERVER, which software is needed in server side to register the host to storage.....pretty basic thing .

You can create the customized planning and installation documents by clicking "Plan" and "Install" on that page, the guides will be tailored to your own environment so that I could not point out the exact links for you. What you need to do is choosing the storage model, connection type, server OS, path managment software, etc. Then you can send the generated document to your email or download it directly.

Also can you tell me pretty basic to configure ax4 series array, I think at 1st I have to connect the array DPE with micro DB9 connector to established a PPP connection to log in the array with 192.168.1.1/setup, after that i have to set the IP of both SP. What about the Host side connectivity with DAS connection, which software needed to install (assume navispher agent) and then we can start using the EMC array with navisphere express edition from GUI. Windows version is WIN2k8.

Where can i find those software from powerlink.emc.com....as far my finding in powerlink.emc.com site i cant find the above typed software like: Unisphere Initialization Utility (Solaris SPARC/x86), Unisphere Host Agent (Solaris SPARC/x86). There is USM i can find and its for only windows host.

Once you are in Service Partner Web click on software tab . Select Unisphere from drop down menu. Select Solaris O.S in the Unisphere download page. You will find the utilities there .

" can only found Unisphere Service Manager (USM) (Windows) 1.1.25.1.0129

Unisphere Service Manager (USM) 1.1 , and some language pack.

in there  > Unisphere Server Software

Unisphere Host Agent  only found for various OS.

Hi Masud,

     You have to open ' Service Partner Web ' . If you are logged in as partner (See top right corner of the window) you will have  'service partner web access' option under the Powerlink Home>Support. you have to go to the service partner page and select the software tab.There you will be able to access the utilities as explained above.

As mentioned by Roger_Wu pretty basic step to configure the storage.. is it the right and one n only procedure??

Do i have to install all the software in the solaris server?

How can we setup the SPA/SPB ip from my workstation if the AX4-5FX arrived with navisphere express only.

I read that IP can be set in SPA/SPB by PPP connection if the AX4 box shipped with navisphere manager only.
