Issue with SANCopy incremental session - cannot see the reserved LUNs

I am currently trying to create an Incremental Sancopy session from our CX700 to our CX4 (both in same domain), i have setup the SANcopy connections and verified it etc..

I have allocated luns to the SPA & SPB reserved lun pool ( each has 2 x 100GB & 2 x 50GB LUNs. all unallocated), however when i attempt to start an incremental SAN copy session for a 60GB lun from the CX700 to the CX4, i get an error message "Reserved lun pool does not contain sufficient luns". i have verified both source/destination lun are owned by same SP etc. It seems like the cx700 cant see the un-allocated luns in its reserved pool??

i have performed a few other internal incremental san copies which were successful on our other CX700.

Can some one please help ???

I just noticed that for the CX700 that im having trouble starting a san copy incremental session, we dont have SNAPVIEW installed? could that be causing SAN copy incremental sessions to fail as it cant see the resereved lun pool?

on our other CX700 in which san copy incrementals work correctly, it has SNAPView installed?

Caution here - incremental SAN Copy automatically (and internal to the array) enables the use of any other features it may need to operate, such as using SnapView capabilities for Incremental updates. It was only in the very earliest releases of SAN Copy (around the R12/R14 timeframe on CX600) that SnapView had to be manually enabled in addition to enabling SAN Copy. In all releases of SAN Copy for the past 3+ years, enabling SAN Copy automatically ensures that any other array features it may internally interact with (including SnapView for Incremental updates) will be available.
