Making more space on an AX100 Virtual Disk

To create more disk spae on a virtual disk, should I just go to the properties and click the expand button and then specify by how much?

Or is there a better or easier way to do it.

All of this after a full backup of course.

That should work just fine as long as the raid group where the virtual disk resides has room to exapnd. After you expand the virtual disk you will need to use Microsoft diskpart to exand the file system on the server.

Should I just use the extend command without giving it a size so I can get all the expanded space.

This is not going to overwrite my data is it? I made a full backup but, just in case I thought I would ask.

Data will still be there and it is non disurptive. I do it all the time, your good to go. However, Microsoft does state you should have a backup of data before performing an extend.

Don't give it a size, just extend the whole thing and your good to go.
