Monitoring Clariion using SMI-s provider
I have installed the SMI-provider on one of my servers. I then ran the TestSMIProvider, and added both the SPA and SPB to the Provider suucessfully. I can enumerate the CIM classes and instances using the SMI provider. However, my intention of using the provider was to monitor the Clariion array using WMI, instead of writing custom scripts based on CLI.
I dont see any of the classes that TestSMIProvider displays when I run the ec command or for that matter any other command, under wbemtest. I know I am missing something here. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi,
You can find the Installation and Configuration document for SMI-S from Powerlink.
Home > Support > Technical Documentation and Advisories > Software ~ S ~ Documentation > SMI-S Provider > Installation/Configuration
As the document listed in above path has some parameters, which could be useful.
you may also make use of some third party tools like Solarwinds which uses SMI-S provider for management.
The below document might be useful....
http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/profiler/docs/SMISProvider.pdf
Thank You
