Ryan, Do you have Analyzer installed on your array? If so you can enable Statistics Logging and either view the performance stats live (that should keep you awake at 2am) or download the archived data the following morning to view the impact on the array.
Are you looking to monitor specifically the disk array or do you also want to monitor the overall SAN, including any fibre switches?
You may want to see what your switch vendor has available in terms of software to montior, ie Brocade has SAN Health which will gather stats on switch ports.
