Pool rate don't change
Hi everybody,
I have got a POOL with 2 LUNs : 0 & 1
In my POOL0 I had 3 Virtuals machines wich used 88% of my volume :
1 VM in the LUN 0
2 VM inthe LUN 1
I move, by vmotion storage a virtual machine, now i've got 2 virtuals machines (1 VM in the LUN 0 and 1 VM inthe LUN 1) wich use 50% of my volume, but the POOL0 stay at 88% ...
any idee ?

Once space is consumed by the LUN it does not get released back to the pool. It however is used first when the host starts to write new data to the LUN.
This may/did change with Flare 30 and VAAI in ESX 4.1.

I'm already in FLARE 30 with ESX 4.1
