Powerpath on a AIX6.1

Question

Hello,

I did the following installation and configuration on a IBM p6 server with AIX 6.1 and a Clariion CX4-120 with FC:

First I installed the ODM AIX.5.3.0.3 then reboot the server

Then was the Naviagent and NaviCli 6.29.5.0.66

after rebooting again the server a finished installing PowerPath 5.3 SP1

Then a assigned a 50GB Lun and after running cfgmgr and powermt config

a ran powermt display dev=all and it show nothing:

no device found...

What could be wrong???

make sure AIX native MPIO is not installed ?

Have you verified that the new host is displayed in Connectivity Status on the clariion? You should see the HBA's from the host is logged in and registered. If this is OK, check to ensure that the host is also in the Storage Group and connected.

Have you checked to see if your configuration is supprted? I've attached the latest AIX compatibility PDF>

Hello Dynamox, sorry for the delya in my answer....I tryed that you told me but didnt work...what I did is install PP 5.3 instead of PP.5.3.1 an it works! best regards Omar

strange that 5.3 SP1 did not work for you, it's listed as supported in E-Lab Navigator.
