Hello!

Does anybody has a private disk space layout scheme for AX4 alike CX series?

I did not manage to find it through out PowerLink.

Vault Drives 0 – 3 use 17.4GB (17844MB) for private space.

Hey, I knew how much it takes. The question was about LAYOUT, not total size.

I mean the same diagram as for CX, i.e. boot partition, utlity partion, db space, image, vault area and so on.

I don't think that EMC engineering publishes that information for either the CX or AX, just the amount of space that is used.

That's just your humble opinion because I have a book on my desk with vault drives layout for CX series.

The same pictures one could observe in the relevant PDFs for CX3 and CX4.

One cannot pass E20-611 without knowledge of these layouts so it is a common knowledge for support engineers.

These images have common concepts for all CX series though they differ in locations and sizes.

I need the same informaiton for AX4 series. That's it.

Yes, it is just my opinion. What can tell you is that so far in my searches I have not found a published official "Public" or "Confidential" EMC document that contains the AX4 layout. Ofcourse that does not mean that there isn't one. We all know the EMC publishes volumes of information and sometimes it's hard to keep track of it all. I understand your concern with preparing for the exam. A suggestion that I can offer is to contact the instructor from your recent course and ask if they can get you the information. Typically the instructors give out their contact information during the course. I have done in the past with other course topics and been able to get additional information.

I reviewed the E20-611 topics and do not see AX4 listed as a platform you will be tested on. It's been years since I took the exam myself so I don't remember if there were AX questions. My understanding is that if there were AX questions then EMC is supposed to state that in the topics section. See attached. Did the instructor say you needed AX4 knowledge?

I have worked on some of the exam creation teams in the past and the EMC Proven Program is very specific on making sure that the information asked in the exam is 1) included as content covered in the list of prerequisite courses and 2) documented in a readily accessible location available to anyone taking the exam. With those two thoughts in mind I would venture to say you probably don't need that information for preparation for the E20-611 exam.

But, as you say that is just my humble opinion. I don't know for sure. I have shared what information I do have. Maybe someone else can jump in and help you find what you seek.

Good luck with your test.
