Server won't boot after adding luns
Hey everyone,
I've got a new ibm 3650 server running windows 2003 and after adding luns for this server and then rebooting, the server will not boot up from the local disk that has the OS installed. As a test, i remove the server from the storage group and the server will then boot to windows. Anyone have any idea what's happening? I checked the configuration on the hba's and they are not setup to boot from the array. The boot order has Hard disk 0 as the first device.
Thanks for any insight you can provide..
Chris

Hi
Chris,
Are you using VMware in your setup?
You have mentioned after removing server from the storage group it boot into windows so have you checked the Environment Variables under the System properties of windows?

That fixed it.
Did the server consider Hard disk 0 as a disk from the storage array? I haven't had to do this for any of our other ibm servers, or is this a new "feature"?
Thanks for your help Dynamox.
