Shutdown procedure for Calriion AX100

Is there a shutdown procedure for the AX100 SAN so the drives can shut down properly, and not just stop if you pull the plug. Any information would be appreciative. Thanks

I have a netwin 110 NAS with a AX100 SAN and I am trying to find out more information about them.

1st step is to dismount filesystems (you could shut down connected servers). then you can just push on the power button in the back of the array to shut it down gracefully. you can initiate a shutdown also from NavisphereExpress
you might also find useful information from the Common technical questions link on http://www.emc.com/products/systems/clariion/ax100/support/support.jsp

hope this helps

so basically what you are saying is to shutdown the SAN, I should first turn off my Netwin 110 and then press the power button on the clariion that is in the rear of he unit, and that will do the trick, am I correct?

* Power off connected servers
* Power off storage processors
* Power off disk arrays
(* Power off FC-switches)
(* Power off tape arrays)

yes Bruno, you want the file systems to be dismounted gracefully so it is important to shut down Netwin first. only after Netwin is down it is ok to press the power button on AX.
