Virtualdisk offline on AX100

Hi,

I'm trying to put online one of the 2 virtualdisks I have on an AX100 storage. In Navisphere Express it appears as Normal Offline. It seems that this situation appears after a suddent shutdown of the AX100.

Anybody knows how to do that ???

Thanks in advance

It may be having some dirty cache due to the power down. In that case it must be cleared for bringing the LUN online.

Can you verify if the AX has any hardware failure? Like a 2 Disk failure on the same DiskPool/RGRP?

Yes, Vipin V.K is also right.

You  may check for the dirty cache by running below command:

navicli -h <SP IP address> luncache -list

Thank you very much for your help, Ankit, I think you've got the point. But I have some problem running navicli commands, because  on our system "Navisphere CLI" wasn't, system being managed with Navisphere Express". We tried to use 3 different releases of Navisphere CLI, the ones I was allowed to download from support (I have not unlimited access), but everytime we've got an unsupported command error message (see attached screenshot). I put another screenshot showing the system software releases. Is there a special Navisphere CLI release for this system ? If so, how can I get it? Thanks in advance.

Just read navicli is not supported in AX100 running older code. Not sure if it is supported with your code and from the error it seems not to be.

In any chance you have support for this box ? Even if you found the LUN is having dirty cache, you (customer) are not supposed to run the commands for clearing the dirty cache AFIK. This is to be performed by EMC authorized personnel only.

The AX100-Series is configured at the factory so that it will not respond to Navisphere CLI commands. There was an update a future release of AX100 software will support Navisphere CLI commands. I am not sure about form which FLARE it started accepting the commands.

Vipin is right here, even if you had got the output, you won't be able to clear the dirty cache.

If the data is critical and you do not have back up. I would suggest to contact EMC Renewal Service/Sales and see if they can provide you any option for Support.
