Write Delay

I have a AX4-5, it is connected to it's own 10.10.10 network, I am using all four iSCSI connections. When some of my users open files(small files and large) or try ot save the file back to the netwrok share they get a message about write failed or delayed write failed. Has anyone ever seen this before?

I have not specifically seen this with the AX4-5, but this can bee seen with intermittently losing access to the drive you are using. I have seen this with CX Clariions before, and it was caused by quick network issues (iSCSI not Fibre).

Unrelated to Clariions you can also get the delayed write failed error by writing to a jump drive on a Windows PC and pulling it out before the writes finish to the drive. Windows likes to use buffers and put data in buffers and even when you think the write is complete it may not be. (To go deeper this is why we use the ADMSnap utility to flush the buffers on the host).

Hope this helps.
