boot from san, host not showing in navisphere

I zoned in a host that is supposed to boot from san. on the switch side everything is zoned in corectly. but I cannot see the host in navisphere.

how do I add the host to a storage group when it does not show up in navisphere?

I do not see any spB ports.

I also observed one thing. on another host that is showing all 8 paths on the array, connecting to the FI shows no paths.

maybe I should restart management server. Any issues or downtime here? how long will it take?

restarted management agents and still same issue

did you restart management service by going to http://SPA/setup and then to http://SPB/setup ?

yes. i restarted both. rebooted the host and still the same

i am out of ideas at this point, let's see what EMC support says (they might say talk to Cisco).

another question

for the boot policy

The above 4 targets are the 4 SPA ports on my cx. I did not put any of my SPB ports in there. Will this depend on which SP owns the lun? If SPB owns the lun, will my boot target have to change?

I trespass it to spB but it still the hot still booted.

it probably booted because it used the internal bus (CMI) to talk to SPB, you need to configure each HBA to have SPA and SPB as its targets.

looks like I can only add 4 paths to the boot policy. 2 primary and 2 secondary

fc0 is hba0

fc1 is hba1

how can i add the spB paths
