Migration from Netapp to EMC
We have a Netapp R200 that we are planning to decommision soon. Currently we have a 9 TB CIFS file system on this array. I would like to eventually have this data on our Centera array, using our NS80 as a front-end filesystem holding the stub files. We also own the Rainfinity FMA product. What I would like to try is to setup the Netapp to archive to the centera via the FMA. Begin archiving. Then after all the data is archived, backup the Netapp file system (mostly stubs now) via NDMP and then restore to the celerra. I plan on setting up a test scenario for this, but I wanted to find out if this seems feasible or if anyone has done this type of migration before?

plus restoring a NetApp NDMP backup onto a Celerra (or vice versa) isnt possible
I suggest to first migrate the data to the Celerra and then archive it there using FMA
