New to Celerra

Hi Ladies and Gents

Sorry for being a complete newbie but just created my first NFS share on a Celerra and the unix guys apparently can't mount share

1. Created a File System (Created New Storage Pool (180gb), sliced with default mount point)

2. Created a new NFS Export from Pool and gave relevant permissions to ip's etc

3. Checked the mounts via gui and cli and all looks good.

Am I missing anything obvious as unix mention restarting NFS !!!

Also anyone point me a some admin docs for the Celerra.

Many Thanks

Paul

see if you and the client can see the export with

showmount -e

next step - check if you are exporting to the correct IP

which client Unix is this?

Check also that the Unix host can ping the Data Mover (not the Control Station) and that the Data Mover can ping the Unix host.

From Celerra Manager, go to "CLI commands" and enter "server_ping server_2 " (assuming that server_2 is the Data Mover). If there are multiple interfaces on the Data Mover, you can specify one interface as well: "server_ping server_2 -interface "

Technical documentation is available on Powerlink under
