share creating script on cifs

Hello,

does anyone know how I can script from a win 2003 server to create shares
on a mapped drive . This drive is a mapped share from a celerra cifs server.

you cant directly create a share on mapped drive - that would kind of re-export the data

what you want to is create a share on the Celerra CIFS server

to do that from a Win2003 server script you can either:

- use ssh to issue a server_export command on the Celerra CLI - with plink.exe and a .ssh config for that password it straightforward

- use a Windows CLI command that uses the MS CIFS API - for example rmtshare.exe from the Windows resource pack

I thought Rainer recommended that you use rmtshare to create shares remotely on your CIFS server, or are you trying to accomplish something else ?
