Creating disk folder on SC2000
Hi,
I'm looking at the settings of an SC2000 and comparing it with an SC3000 and I notice differences in configuration.
In SC2000 when I right click to create new disk folder it does not appear any option.
I try to create a new storage type or storage profile, either.
Do these options only appear when I have new disks in SC2000?
Already in the series above, as SC3000 when I click it shows all options for creating new settings.
Thank you.

Hello Sandro Silva Alves,
Are both your Compellent systems running the same firmware or different firmware versions? The Create Disk Folder dialog box appears displaying all unmanaged disks and designates spare disks. If all disk has been assigned, then you will not see the create disk folder.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I'm sorry to disagree with DELL-Sam L but the documentation shows this is not possible.
Refer to page 46 of the Dell Storage Manager 2018 Administrator's Guide under Disk Management on SCv2000 Series Controllers
https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/dell-storage-manager_administrator-guide3_en-us.pdf
Refer to page 282 of the Dell Storage Manager 2016 Administrator's Guide under Disk Management on SCv2000 Series Controllers
https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/storage-sc2000_administrator-guide_en-us.pdf
Storage Centers with SCv2000 series controllers manage disks automatically, limiting the disk management options. After adding disks, Storage Center recognizes the new disks, creates a new disk folder if necessary, then manages the disks in the disk folder. If a disk is intentionally down for testing purposes, then is deleted, you can restore the disk to manage the disk again in a disk folder.
The following disk management options are not available with SCv2000 series controllers:
Creating disk folders
Adding disks to disk folders
Managing disk spares

Even though it is older post, what I would like to add is; you can call Dell support and they will do it from CLI from backend.
I was in the same boat before. I had twelve 15k 600GB disks in my SC2020 and I added 12 10k 900GB disks. As soon as I added them, SC2020 automatically created 10k folder and assign all 12 10k disk into it.
But I was in impression that all those 12 disks should go into 15k folder and create tiers according to their speed. So, I released them and deleted 10k folder. Once I did that, there was no option to create folder, all 12 disks were sitting under "unassigned" and couldn't do anything.
Then I called Dell support and they said they have to do it from backend using CLI. I had to enable secure console on my SC2020.
