EMC Connectrix Manager Data Center Edition Pro Ed : is it free for one fabric ?
Hi all,
I know that with Cisco Fabric Manager can be used to manage only one fabric without a specific licence on switch.
For Brocade Connectrix Manager Data Center Edition (or DCFM), do I need a licence for its installation with the professionnal edition ?
Without licence, can I only manage one fabric with it like Cisco Fabric Manager ?

Hi,
According to CMDCE Release Notes, Professional Edition is license free and support the following:
CMDCE Professional showcases a subset of features and hardware platforms of CMDCE Enterprise. The Professional version, which is a no charge version, is intended for the management of smaller fabrics with Connectrix B Series departmental switches. It cannot manage Director class products, has no FICON or routing support, and does not have remote clients or Call home support. The Professional version is limited to managing FOS departmental switch products only consisting of 1 fabric, 10 switches, 640 switch ports, and 1,000 hosts or storage devices.
