EMC DS-16B2 login problems

Hello,
I have an EMC DS-16B2 that I bought used and the previous owner changed the default login and passwd. The problem, I have a great switch which I cannot log into. Question, how do I reset the switch back to default settings? (factory settings)

Thks,

Have you tried: login=admin; passwd=passwd
Have you tried using Ctrl-c to bypass

I will presume you only have that one switch. Have you tried to connect using the serial port and see if that will allow you to interupt the Autoboot and possibly reset the passwd at that point with the command (much like UNIX boxes).

Never had this particular problem, so these are just a couple thoughts.

Rgrds,

You have the possiblity to reset the admin password with the "root" login.
For EMC switches there is a default root password set. Maybe an EMC employee can post that password.

I think I found the PW for root: Serv4EMC

Due to the reason that it seems to be an EMC OEM Switch, the default password is like "surf4EMC" (I could not remember exactly, so i'm not sure...)
