30 days replacement window over because order messed up!!!

I have ordered an XPS 15 on OCT. 02, 2018 and received it on OCT. 16, 2018.

The order was messed up by Dell and I was charged twice without me authorizing the second charge. To my surprise, I received two identical package instead of one.

After talking to customer support and explaining the situation, they admitted a mistake on their end, and asked me to return the extra product, they did not credit the money back to my CC until 3-4 weeks later, way after the extra laptop was received, i know that because i had a tracking number.

Since my CC was charged twice and I was about to go over credit limit because of their mistake, I refrained from using the laptop that I kept because I had to be sure that I could return it in a timely manner as well, for any situation that might have happened, like in case the laptop i returned did not make it back in time for any reason, for me, getting back the money to my CC and not breaking my credit was the most important thing as everybody would agree.

On OCT. 27, 2018 , the extra charge was finally reversed on my CC, so i started installing software on the laptop I kept, a few days later I noticed multiple issues with the laptop, rattling fan (I have a video recording), power adapter loose and sometimes unrecognizable, the almost never goes to sleep, even when i put it to sleep the fan still runs, I thought system updates would fix that and I tried my best (without opening the hardware), but finally I got boot screen fatal errors like error code 2000:0333 etc.

I contacted customer service over phone then over email over my cell phone because the laptop was not usable when the fatal boot errors started happening, my service ticket was on NOV. 29, 2018 - and they just gave my the standard "your 30 day return/replacement policy" has expired. They want me to go through troubleshooting and sending the unit back for fixing etc... I think only a replacement is fair in this situation because as far as I am concerned, this laptop I have is a defective unit and it was defective as received. It did not break down because of usage.

I am well aware of the 30 days return policy. But I was only pushed beyond the 30 days because the mistake that Dell's sales department caused.

This is unacceptable, infuriating and straight outlandish.

I am asking Dell to take responsibility of the bad situation they created and replace the defective unit they sent me.

oh wow!

I am getting so much support here that I feel pampered and fluffy...

is this the support/ customer care sub section of this forum or is it the we don't give a $#i+  section?

can anybody at least tell me if it's possible to upload images here? I would like to post some evidence to my claim.
