Dell Facebook support vs Dell.com support
I'm trying to check on a service call to repair my laptop. I have Next Business day repair service and was told by the Facebook support person the next day is only if the part is in stock. Which I never was informed it wasn't and it's been 6 days and the 3rd day the part was finally shipped.

The name of the contract can be confusing, but he was correct. We certainly cannot send a technician out if he doesn't have the part in hand.

The onsite provider has to pick up the part from FedEx and then call you to schedule the visit. We have no idea when this might occur.

Do you know who can? Chris shouldn't Wednesday have been the next day?

I know that Chris, so does this mean that next day repair is when ever the tech receives the part and decides to come uut and repair the issue? I understand the tech needs to have the part which he picked from fedex on Tuesday, so the next business day should have been Wednesday(no call) Today still no call.

I cannot answer those questions. I agree, if he picked up the part Tuesday, you should have received a call by now.

You need to call into Technical Support. Give them the Dell dispatch number. Ask them how to contact the onsite vendor.
