NIGHTMARE
I am very dissatisfied with the resolution of the problem I am having with my computer. How do I escalate my issue within the Dell system? Here is what I have dealt with:
1. initial call withDell support because computer was not charging. on phone for 1 hour. Resolution: send technician to home.
2. Technician schedules visit, then visits. Does not have correct replacement part. Computer must be sent to depot for fix.
3. Box is sent to for computer to send to depot. Computer sent to depot, returned. Issue is not solved, still does not charge. Call dell technical support. on phone for 1 hour. Solution: computer must be resent to depot to be repaired again.
4. Box is sent for computer to send to depot. Computer is sent to depot, returned. Computer now charges, but does not boot- computer screen displays message, 'operation system not found'. Call Dell technical support. on phone for 1 hour. Solution: send computer key to restore operating system.
5. Computer key sent to restore operating system. Attempted to restore system 3 times. No success. Call Dell technical support. on phone for 1 hour. Solution: send technician to replace hard drive.
6. Currently waiting for technician to visit. Frankly, not optimistic that this will solve anything.
I frankly can't believe that, after all of this, Dell just doesn't replace the system. I can't imagine ever buying a product from Dell again; this has been a nightmare.
