The Best Way to Buy a Dell Computer as a Long-Time Dell Computer Owner
I have owned Dell Computers for 20 years. My current computer is a Dell XPS 8500 and this was the first time I did not purchase directly from Dell (for a very good reasons, based on my lengthy experience, as well as, reiterated in countless, continuous, on-going Posts by other Dell Computer Owners, on every and any Dell Customer Forum--including this one, especially). The best way to purchase a Dell Computer is from a brick and mortar reseller. Try to make this a brick and mortar reseller store as close to you as possible. Also, pick a reseller that has its own technical department right inside of the store. You can still add extra memory, upgrade the operating system, have any and every program, application, etc. pre-loaded onto your computer before you pick up the Dell Computer that you purchased. Also, pick a store that provides an extended warranty for your computer and other hardware. Further, pick a store which provides technical support that can also log onto your computer remotely. This way the only thing that you will not have is in-home and/or at your computer location technical support. However, when the store is close to you, you can bring it to the store for repairs. The other important thing, you can return the computer and/or anything else you bought for it. Negotiate, at least, 30 days from when you picked up your computer as a return period. This way, you will not have to deal with confusion, delays, etc. You won't have to ship things back and forth. You won't have to deal with making call after call to find out the status of anything. You have a lot more control. It is your hard-earned money spent for something you either really needed/need and/or wanted/want. You deserve having as much control over these things as you possibly can !!!!
