Copying Veeam backups out of a Data Domain repository
I have a requirement to copy select backup files out of a Veeam repository and make them available on a standard Windows CIFS repository. Is there a way to access the Data Domain DD Boost file system to copy the files to another Windows share? I tried opening a ticket with Veeam technical support and they said that I need to talk to Dell EMC about how to do this. My Veeam jobs use per-VM backup files, so once I get access to the DD Boost file system, I should be able to easily identify the files I need to copy.

What is the protocol that VEEAM is using to communicate with Data Domain
Is it DDBOOST?
Do not create a share on top of a DDBOOST mtree, as it can cause access problems and is not supported to mix the security mechanism of SMB with the security mechanism of DDBOOST (NFS)
Please clarify the protocol used in the communication between VEEAM and Data Domain.
Cheers

I need to copy backups from a DDBoost repository to another repository is there a utility to do this? Veeam article KB1729 details moving repositories.
