Datadomain with ddboost safe from Cryptovirus?

Been thinking about this all day, we have 2 DD2200 running as our backup targets using ddboost.

Cryptolocker ?  If you have a client that is infected and happens to have a CIFS share mapped from DD,  it will get encrypted.

No clients are directly mapped to the Data domain.

The only mapping is directly from the back-up servers (always up to date both with windows updates and antivirus) which are set up to use ddboost as a protocol.

I have also setup GPOs to block *.exe from running in AppData and Temp on all our machines.

I guess no one can be 100% sure that they are 100% safe, but doing as much as you can to prevent an attack is better than not doing anything at all.

In that case, you are risk free.
