How to retrieve the data in a replicated DataDomain?

I have doubts about how to retrieve the data in a replicated DataDomain.

For example: I have a DataDomain in SiteA and another in SiteB.

The replication happens from SiteA to SiteB.

If I lose the DataDomain SiteA (for example, fire destroy the room).

I would like to restore data to the new DataDomain using data that has been replicated to SiteB.

Is this possible?

Thanks on advance.

Hi Peterson, I am moving this thread to the Data Domain Support Forum space where your question can be better seen and addressed. The ECN Help Forum space where you originally posted this question is for asking questions around the usage or functionalities of the EMC Community Network (ECN) platform itself rather than any specific EMC products or solutions. Thanks.

Hi Peterson,

after the disaster u want to replicate the data from "site b" to "new_datadomain"?

you have to adjust the replication settings in site b (source / target).

so "site b" would be your new source and "new datadomain" is the target for your replication.

best regards

eikepaape, if I adjust the replication from siteB to new DataDomain on siteA.

The filesystem on DataDomain installed on siteA will be read-only, correct?

In this case I will can use the siteA only for restore, correct?

Is possible change a replicated file system ( read-only ) for read-write?

Thanks.
