Is Netbackup Instant Recovery for VMware from Data Domain possible?

The notes from Netbackup's Instant Recovery for VMware, say this:

• Supports the following storage unit types (disk only): BasicDisk, AdvancedDisk, Media Server Deduplication Pool (MSDP), PureDisk Deduplication Pool (PDDO).

DD Boost with Avamar supports a similar methodology called Instant Access to virtual machines on Data Domain.   However, it would make sense if DD Boost with Netbackup might also support it too.

I'm told that Netbackup's VMware Accelerator works with Data Domain, but it didn't get published in the latest HCL.
