NFS file system operations

Hello,

I have a DD990 that has NFS enabled but not in use. I see about 200 Ops/s on the FS graph. What is it doing? Should I just disable it?

Daniel,

Yes, you can disable NFS (nfs disable).  You will still see that traffic though (internal communication).

Best Regards,

Patrick

Daniel,

Hi my name is Patrick Betts and I am a DataDomain TSE.  DDOS uses NFS as it's internal communications protocol.  What you are seeing is the system simply functioning.  Let me know If I can be of any further assistance.

Best Regards,

Patrick

Can I disable NFS? I really have no plans on using NFS. I will be using CIFS in the near future, but not NFS.
