Setup backup for iscsi drive

Hi,

I am new to EMC Networker. We already have an EMC networker setup. I have a Storage server HP Storageworks 2008 used as NAS server for file and data sharing, which is EOL this year. We have EMC VNXe3150 storage which we used for VMWare and also data store.

Since our current NAS server is going to be EOL this year, we created a virtual server in VMWare with Windows Server 2012 R2 and added 2TB drive using the free space available in VNXe by configuring it as iSCSI. The shares are working fine.

I would appreciate any assistance in configuring the new Server for backup in EMC Networker, so that I can schedule backup for the 2TB drive which I have configured as D drive.

Please let me know if you need any further clarification and apologies if what i have mentioned above, might not make any sense.

You need to repost in the Networker section.  But you can solve this three ways..

Windows client - do block level backup - Very fast. Backups at a CBT level internal to windows.

Windows client - do file level backups - fast - scan file system for changed files

Proxy on ESX and Image level backups - Fastest...Use VMware CBT tools to backup in seconds.
