duplication/replication question

Currently using Net Backup 7.6.0.2 with storage lifecycle policies for backup to local DD unit and Duplication to remote unit.  Trying to understand how this works.  Seems that the duplication/replication to the remote unit is another backup.  Only running full weekend backups but when Monday comes there are a number of jobs running.  Is it better to let these jobs complete before running another weekend backup.   Seems to me that this would be better because would have a complete backup of all the data before trying to add new data.  There is also discussion in our group that the old jobs should be cancelled, but that seems counter productinvej.

Hello Smith,

If you created a collection, directory, MTree, or pool replication pair, the backup data will continue to write to the Source DD after the deduplication. Then, the changed data of Source DD will replicate to Destination DD in same time.

Please refer to EMC Data Domain Operating System Administration Guide for replication configuration. Hope this helps!
