Client Count

Hello, another probably simple question.

Is there a way of creating a report, based on the structure of folders created within DPA.

Again, probably best explained by example.

I want to run a client count report, and DPA easily lends itself to this, eg. in Configuration view, under Servers, I can run the report and I get a total, but I would like to break that down by the folders that have been created underneath the Servers view - eg. Group 1, group 2, group 3, so that I can get a cumulative report eg.

Client Count =100

group 1 =50

group 2 =30

group 3 =20

Any assistance to point me in the right direction would be appreciated, I know there are probably many ways to achieve this, but anyone with some experience to share would be invaluable.

Hello Martin,

The group object is determined by the nodes you select.

If you multi-select nodes from the Configuration view then select the Client Count report from the Configuration category then the result will need the Object field visibility set to "Show", then add a Total Row as illustrated below:

You can also select the Applications:

or even select Query Nodes:

Another way you can achieve a more versatile layout would be to use a Control Panel and create a montage using several client count reports.

Hope this helps!
