Clearning Alarms
Is there a way to clear the alarms that aren't active? When I have one go off (for example a loss of communication to an idrac), even after I verify that connectivity is restored, and I acknowledge the alarm it still shows up as an alarm on the dashboard. It will only go back to green if I go in and delete them all, I'd rather not do that as I'd like to have a record of the alarms for future troubleshooting if needed.

Hello
Our OME experts responded to this query in the below thread:

OpenManage Enterprise is going to replace OpenManage Essentials. You might want to check out the tech preview to see if it has this feature.
Thanks

Hi and thanks for the post.
The behavior of the Alert GUI in Enterprise is similar to Essentials for this feature. The 'acknowledge' action is really just more of a visual queue or tick-mark and does not do anything to reflect a change in status. So this is not treated so much as an 'alarm', but strictly as a historical list of SNMP traps that have been received.
Not surprisingly we get a lot of different opinions on the behavior of Ack and what probably ought to happen is to make the Ack some sort of a user configurable action. But at this point, it's more of a benign checkmark..
So once you clear the problem that was the cause of the alert, some folks will just delete that alert from the UI.
If you have specific workflows you'd like to see around this, I'll definitely pass them along.
Thanks!
Rob
