OME 3.2.1 Update - Error message CJOB4054

Hi there, i have a problem with the update from version 3.1.0 to the acutally version 3.2.1. We do the update with the offline option - the update files are hosted on a IIS Site.

We start the update process and this ends quickly with the short popup error message:

CJOB4054 - Unable to start the operation on the entered job(s) because one or more entered job ID(s) are either invalid or do not exist on the system.

Is there a fix or workaround to run successful the update task on the appliance?

Thank you!

Hello

I haven't heard of any issues with the update. I suggest reviewing the release notes and manual to make sure the offline update is properly configured. If this is the first time you have performed an offline update then make sure there are no spaces in the URL, the limitations section of the release notes has more information. Also, make sure your directory structure is the same as ours and restart the appliance.

I am getting the same error doing anything in the Console Update settings section.
This is 3.1.0 trying to 'Check Now' or even changing the update method from Manual to Automatic.

Error updating the status of the selected Jobs.

CJOB4054 - Unable to start the operation on the entered job(s) because one or more entered job ID(s) are either invalid or do not exist on the system.

I wouldn't even be able to switch it to Offline mode if I wanted to.

Any idea how to get past this?

It sounds like it is unable to create a job. I would restart the appliance and try again. If the issue persists then check to see if you are able to manually create a job and review the job list for any issues.

Hi,

we had the exact same issue. Long story short, no reboot or manual creation of jobs will help. What you have to do is open a support ticket. They can provide you with a python script where you can initiate the update of your appliance via your local workstation. I tried to describe the process here and included the script but this dumb forum deleted my post without any notice. So what i can give you is my ticket number [ ref:_00D0bGaMp._5000b1UxGZa:ref ] If you refer the support to that number i think they can see the solution i got and with that i was able to update.

Or you can send me a pm with your contact data and i will forward you the script plus instructions.

Good Luck
