Hi Erman,

We don't restrict outbound access on our firewall, so there should be no issues contacting your servers. We don't use a proxy, so no configuration required. I'm not sure what you mean by 'checking that OME services are registered'? As the other users in this thread have mentioned, The access key I generate at the Dell site is rejected when I try to input it to register the Services plugin with the error I show in my post above. I also get the 'Unable to run the server connectivity test' other users mention. Have restarted the OME server, generated multiple access keys, etc, but no luck.

Based on other user's posts and my own experience, I believe it is a bug with OME 3.8.2 & Services Plugin 1.2.1.552. Can you verify if this is the case, and if so, please suggest a solution\workaround? Thanks!

That may be the case, but upon researching the issue and discussions with the OpenManage group, they recommend that you call in to the OpenManage group directly, so that they may be able to assist in identifying the cause.

Thanks. Can you provide contact info for the OpenManage group? I'm unable to locate a means to contact that group directly...

Just as an update on this for everyone else: There is indeed a bug with OME 3.8.2 & Services Plugin 1.2.1.552. I just got off a support call where they were able to manually create a new dat.ini file, sign it with new keys, copy those to OME manually, and connect via SSH to set some permissions which are not set correctly after the upgrade. They will be issuing a fix for this some time in the future, but you'll need to open a support case to have someone do it manually for now. Yay!

It looks like DELL have released an UPDATE to both OpenManage Console and the Services Plugin.

Does anyone know if the update fixes the issue?

Can't see anything in the release notes.

Hello rreshelp,

According Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise 3.8.3 Release Notes:

https://dell.to/3rSvVH0 p. 2:

Upgrade fails when Power Manager Plugin is installed and chunk tables consume all the shared memory space.

Thanks

Hi, sorry to hear that. After gaining knowledge about the issue and reviewing OpenManage related cases and previous posts, I recommend you call the OpenManage team directly so they can help determine the cause of the issue. It may be necessary to include a level 3 level.

After being in touch with the support i have found that this is now the solution.

Update OpenManage to the latest version (wait for the reboot). Uninstall the Services plugin (wait for the reboot). Reinstall the Services plugin (wait for the reboot). The Services plugin should now work.
