=============================================================================
Issues fixed in OME 1.1.1
=============================================================================

* "System is down" alert is generated for all the devices in Unknown group.
After upgrading from OME 1.0.1 to 1.1 or new install of OME 1.1, discovery
followed by status poll, sets Connection status to “Off” and logs "System is down”
internal alert in the alerts console, for all the devices classified (grouped)
under Unknown group.
The connection status remains “off” and "System is down" alert is continuously
logged on each status poll run for all the devices grouped in “Unknown” group.

NOTE: After installing OME 1.1.1, re-run discovery task on all the discovery
ranges to make sure connection status for all the devices is determined accurately.

* Email alert action sends time information in UTC instead of OME server time zone.
After upgrading from OME 1.0.1 to 1.1 or new install of OME 1.1, configure
email alert action. The emails received by a client (Ex: Microsoft Outlook)
will have UTC timestamp instead of OME server time zone where ever substitution
parameter $t is used in the email alert action.

* Japanese/Chinese alert emails are not received or shows unknown characters.
After upgrading from OME 1.0.1 to 1.1 or new install of OME 1.1 on a Windows
server with Japanese or Simplified Chinese language as default setting,
configure email alert action. If Japanese or Chinese characters are present
in the email subject, email notifications are NOT received.
If Chinese or Japanese characters are present in the email body, email is received,
but the Chinese or Japanese characters are replaced with garbled unknown characters.

* Making email alert action application to be more efficient.
In OME 1.0.1 or 1.1 releases, if you configured email alert action, then OME
may not close all the connections to the SMTP server in a timely manner after
sending the email.

* Discovery of instrumented devices also discovered non-supported devices.
After upgrading from OME 1.0.1 to 1.1 or new install of OME 1.1, chose
"Instrumented Devices" option under:
"Manage -> Discovery and Inventory -> Discovery Schedule" and run discovery tasks.
All the non supported and instrumented devices found in the specified discovery ranges
are also discovered and categorized under "Unknown" group.

* Task names contains unknown characters in Japanese and Simplified Chinese languages
In OME 1.0.1 or 1.1 releases, any tasks (Ex: discovery, system updates etc.) created
contains unknown characters when OME is installed in a Windows operating system
with Japanese or Simplified Chinese as default language setting and without
Multilingual Language Packs installed.

* DSM Essentials Task manager service does not start after installing OME 1.1
After installing OME 1.1, DSM_OMSE_TaskManager_32.exe does not start even after
server reboot.

* Health status on Servers with Server administrator uninstalled or disabled may not get updated
After upgrading from OME 1.0.1 to 1.1 or new install of OME 1.1, discover a server
with server administrator installed. If Server administrator is disabled or
uninstalled on the managed server, OME does not update the health status to unknown
after polling the status.

=============================================================================
Additional Information
=============================================================================
* After installing OME 1.1.1, the "About" box in OME console still shows version
info as 1.1.0.6063. To confirm if the patch is installed, run this utility
from OS command prompt:
~Program Files (x86)\Dell\SysMgt\Essentials\wwwroot\Essentials\EssentialsVersion.exe -v
The version displayed is: 1.1.1.0

* After installing OME 1.1.1, re-run discovery task on all the discovery
ranges to make sure connection status for all the devices is determined accurately.

The forum tool formats they hyperlinks when we just paste them in.  Let me see if I can post these again.

btw, I think the original links are working now, at least I just tested in the U.S. and they work.

Hi Rob,

I downloaded patch from original link - it works now.

Btw, I can't select any above ftp link. I open this forum post with different browsers and different computers (without any policy restriction) but no success.
 It looks like they are not hyperlinks.

Thank you for help
