I guess the answer to my question is to create my own group (I named it "Servers - All"). I was then able to move all of my servers, physical and VM to that group.
I will have to do something similar with my KVMs, switches, and firewalls too that are in that "Unknown" group.
I have the same issue except my servers and devices are physical. I see them in the inventory but there is no information (Make, model, etc) associated with them.

Inventoried VM's are never grouped under server, the idea in OME is that only physical Dell servers will reside under the Server group.

Yes that will do what you want, keep in mind that the health of the VM's will always be Unknown no matter the group.

Just wanted to add this, everything that is on the Support Matrix should be classified automatically and display health status.
