Attempt to update Bios to same version
Hi All,
OME 1.1.1
When trying to deploy updates from OME system Update it tells me the update is not needed but then the system never moves over to the Compliant tab. This is happening on a few different servers. I have enabled and disabled downgrades but this did not help.
Thank you,
Todd

Hi Todd,
It seems like the inventory has not gotten properly updated. Can you delete one of the devices from the tree and re-discover? That's the only thing I can think of at this point.
thx.

Thank you for your response Rob. I should have mentioned that this install is only a few months old and I am just trying to feel my way through. I just started playing with the System Updates a couple of weeks ago but I have kicked off this install on this box a few times in the past week. Initially it had several updates but it is just these two updates that remain. I have manually run the inventory and I run a scheduled inventory every day. I have power cycled this box a few times as well.
At this point I am monitoring 15 servers with ome, 7 are compliant and 8 are not.
Current Catalog is the latest from ftp.dell.com/.../catalog.cab
Thank you again,
Todd

Hi there and thanks for the post.
There may be a 15 minute delay before inventory is re-run on the system. You can also, right-click on the device and manually run inventory from the device tree. Or run inventory from the discovery range.
can you check this?
thx!

Thanks again Rob,
Deleting, Discovering and re-inventorying worked a treat!
I will have to do this with the others,
Todd
