I am using the SQL that install with the install.  There was a  old version of SQL on the box so I  told it to upgrade.

Hi,

Thanks for your post. Have you tried restarting the service? Was the installation successful or did you have any errors at the end?

The install was successful and when I restart the services it stops right after.  That is the only error I can find.

Network Monitoring service runs as local system account. It is possible that if you installed OME with non administrator account, it may not have the necessary privileges.

I think at this point it may be easier to open a service ticket and have tech support look at the logs and work with you on resolution. Here is the number 800-945-3355

Did you install SQL Express on the local box or are you using a pre-existing SQL install on a remote or local box?

Thanks for the update. Is the account you are using part of OMEAdministrators group? Does it have administrator privileges?

Thanks for the updates.

Do you see any errors under Tools->Application Logs? You can also look at the InstallUtil.log file located at c:\windows\temp to see if you find any errors during installation.

Is there a charge $ for phone support?

You might be eligible for the support based on the server service tags. It would be better to call and they would let you know upfront if there is any kind of charge.
