I don't know if OME is taking three hours to display the alert. It is interesting that the time difference is exactly 3 hours to the minute.
I wonder if perhaps the managed node is in a different time zone than the management station? Can you confirm the time of day on the managed node as compared with the OME server? Is the time zone the same?
You can also try to simulate a h/w failure somehow on the device and see how long it takes to hit OME. For example, if the device is a server with SNMP and OMSA, you can simulate a temperature threshold alert by going into OMSA and changing the warning threshold temporarily.
The date time of the OpenManage server and server Monitored are equal. I did a test Increasing the temperature and the trap is immediate, but the time is still three hours apart.
Are you saying that the timestamp for the alert in the OME "Alert Console" is off by 3 hours?
Or are you saying the email is arriving 3 hours late?
Please double check the OME console preferences and confirm the time zone settings sections look correct.
You may also use the Dell Troubleshooting tool Trap Listener test or Wireshark. The TS tool is installed on your OME desktop. Wireshark can be downloaded. You can check the time that is displayed in those tools and rule out OME as an issue (or confirm).
