False Alerts
I keep getting alerts that 8 of my vmware host servers are down when they are not. It is the same 8 servers every day. The details of the alert are as follows:
Name: omeAlertSystemDown
Type: SNMP
Catalog: MIB-Dell-OME
Severity: Critical
Format String: $1: $2
SNMP Enterprise OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.11000.1000.100.1
SNMP Generic Trap OID: 6
SNMP Specific Trap OID: 1001
I do not have snmp enabled on the discovery of these devices, I use only WS-MAN.
Rather than create a rule to ignore this alert on these devices only, how can I stop these alerts on these devices?
Thank you!

Hey KBeau...
Sorry can't recall if you mentioned in a previous thread. Do you have OME 1.1 with the 1.1.1 patch applied?
And is this a WAN or LAN connection (speed?)
Thanks,
Rob

I have the exact same issue. Same SNMP OID and all. Mine are on a LAN with GIg Connections.
Installed the 1.1.1 patch and no change. WSMAN monitoring only

Have you tried increasing ICMP timeout in the OME discovery wizard for the device that is causing false system is up/down alert ?
